Spindleworks

Imagine having the opportunity to explore your artistic interests, learn new skills, and become a part of a caring creative community. Spindleworks is home to 45 artists who work and learn together in a warm and nurturing environment, together with professional staff artists. The studios at Spindleworks offer space for
painting and drawing, ceramics and woodworking, video and animation, weaving and other fiber and fabric arts. In addition, the artists write poetry and stories, and express themselves through acting and other performing arts.
The onsite store and gallery offer artists a place to display and sell their work, and the artists receive 75 % from each sale. The 7 Lincoln street studios are just ½ block from Brunswick’s Maine Street, rich with shops and cultural resources.
Over the course of the 30 plus years in operation, Spindleworks has built a reputation for quality programming which helps build the artistic careers of many individuals who are now known and respected members of Maine’s artistic community.
The Spindleworks gallery and store are open Monday-Friday 9:00-4:30. The artists are on site Monday-Thursday 9:00-2:00, and Friday until 1:00. They enjoy visitors and love to give tours and talk about their work.
