Independence Association offers a wide array of programs and services for adults. From Residential Services to Employment Independence Association has something for everyone.
Residential Services: Independence Association offers a continuum of residential options for individuals, up to and including 24-hour support, shared living situations, or assistance with maintaining an apartment locally.
Employment Services: Employment Services provides individuals with vocational counseling, guidance and support to explore career options, seek and obtain competitive work with local businesses, and/or successfully maintain current jobs in their community. Individualized services may include job shadowing, resume preparation, interview skills training, job development, work trials/assessments, and on-site job training. EnvisionME and Community Works Day habilitation supports are provided in both community- and center-based settings. Services include skill-building, activities of daily living, therapeutic carryover, and community connections, which promote volunteering, mentoring and peer support. Click here to learn more.

SpinOff Studio is a new art program based in Hallowell in order to serve the greater Augusta area.
SpinOff Studio is a nonprofit
gallery and creative space for adults with disabilities, facilitated by working
artists. The program offers art supplies, studio and gallery space, and artists
receive 75% of the sale price of their artwork. Creative exploration, community
engagement, and personal growth are fostered by workshops, visiting
