The EnvisionME and Community Works Programs
Our community support programs are provided in both community and center-based settings. We have committed staff who provide supports to individuals who need help with skill-building, activities of daily living, therapeutic carryover, and community connections, the last of which promotes volunteering, mentoring and peer support.
The EnvisionME program is designed to assist people with becoming more involved in their community. The EnvisionME program uses skill development in recreation, leisure and socialization. EnvsionME also focuses on providing supports for individuals who need physical, occupational, and speech therapies. This program is our center-based program.
The Community Works Program is designed to support adults in a community setting to learn new skills, become a part of their chosen community, and enhance their peer circle. The Community Works Initiative derived from a group of parents who felt their children needed an alternative to traditional day support services. The program provides individualized supports which are self-directed and community based, and encourage the exploration and securing of community volunteer positions, increased independence with daily living skills, awareness and involvement with a variety of community resources and opportunities to meet new people.
